Urban Grade is a new structural and civil engineering firm based in Abuja built to take on capital-scale ground, from granite bedrock to the FCT's fastest-growing districts, from year one.
Urban Grade launched in 2025 to work at the intersection of structural precision and civic ambition, on some of the most demanding ground in the FCT. We take on the sites larger, older firms are too slow to move on: rock-cut foundations, hillside districts, live corridors that cannot close.
Being new means our engineers work alongside architects from the first sketch, not after it — because the tolerance for error on a tower founded in granite is measured in millimetres, not intentions, no matter how young the firm.
A 28-storey mixed-use tower founded on shallow granite bedrock in Abuja's Central Business District — our first groundbreaking as a firm.
Structural rehabilitation and widening of a key corridor connecting the capital to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, sequenced lane-by-lane to keep traffic moving.
Structural design and viaduct engineering for a four-kilometre light rail extension threaded through the FCT's road network, appointed within our first year.
